The whole interstellar jam band debate is such a winsome exposition of tomfolderoll. Gotta love "Jammies", they follow the bands around and whine that they didn't hear exactly what they wanted to hear or that the band didn't play well, ( meaning that they failed to hear what they expected they deserved to hear ).
So. Groove on this drool covered bisquick, kids. UG is in their home town and just JAMMING like , um, well, you know, uh, JAM BANDS do. It's fun and it's lucid, it's extrapolated and full of nifty prizes for those with the PATIENCE to listen.
Perhaps this is "an okay" avarage sorta show. If this is so, then Jammies truly are spoiled rotten. Back there in seminary school, we petitioned the Lord with prayer and we oft times petitioned Him for bands that crank out the Urslurrodoptoflasm gÜfleeberoll like this band does. On an okay night. Just jamming.
If that isn't your cuppa, there's always Dave Matthews band. March away.
Tra La kids!

I'm torn between a 3 or 2 star on this one. It's an ok show. But it's lacking something. Umphrey's can be so versitile. But they just seem like a straight up jam band in this one. Nothing wrong with that, just not something that rocks my socks off.
