Subject: SHIT!
In the time period between 4:51 and 6:01 in wizard burial ground, I soiled myself 4 times...

Wish I was lying but this band is fuckin incredible and my bowels can't take it sometimes

Not a highlight of the tour by any means, but if your looking for the straight HEAT; check out Umphreys 10-6-2007 at Stubb's in Austin or Bisco 10-30-2007, or 11-2-2007. Good show overall, second set did end a little weak for such a rageing bunch of jams.

Show was pretty solid until the end of the second set. What an awful two song run to close out the show. The sit-ins were pretty bad too. I'm not a fan of Matisyahu (although he wasn't terrible when I saw him sit-in with Infected Mushroom at the Virgin Festival) and this is the reason why; he's a one-trick pony and no one knows what the hell he's talking about. Scott Metzger is a better musician but he still doesn't belong on the same stage with UM. I love him with Bustle in Your Hedgerow but it's hard to compare to the likes of Warren Haynes who I've seen rip it up with UM on the very same cover. All in all, the show suffered from a few song choices and the sit-ins. Better than the first night however.

Check out second set Richmond from earlier in this run to see what the band is really capable of. Both NYC shows seemed very scripted and were not the risk-taking UM that keeps me going to see them.

Subject: the show was amazing.
interesting story.

my friend who i came to the show with was the one that invited matis yahu to come and check umphreys out. We basically got him backstage, and after they talked with umphrey's manager everyone agreed to pla y together. so it was a really spontaneous thing and it turned out really great. even better for me, because of this slight connection i had to the band at this show, i got my ticket signed by all of the members. =]

Subject: UM brought it Nite 2 NYC
(Im not sure how this will come out being I reviewed before but it didnt turn up then wrote the noob post and now will review the show again and hopefully this will stay)
The show was tight. The crowd and band was high energy the entire time. The guests were a nice touch and added a lot to the show & energy. Al & Rob of moe. were also at the show but only watched from the side of the stage. Andys Last Beer opener is a great way to get things goin at a nice pace, love that song. Set II brought it w/ the covers & guests. UM impressed me at this show def. worth a listen theres some interesting suff in there. 2nd NYC cant go wrong.

Such a good show...except Tragedy. They were such a waste of time, but once Umphrey's came on everything got better. A nice set, and personally I liked it better than Friday's show. Second set was incredible (mainly because I had to take care of two friends haha).

edit: I don't know if it was you, but I know someone taped the first show. Is it gonna be up soon?

I dont no what you mean by nothing amazing, this was with out a doubt a great umph show. the dual bridgeless with the hendrix cover in between, glory! and wizard burial to end the first set was just amazing. The second set was one of the best sets ive seen mulches >jimmy>mulches > immigrant the jimmy is just silly and then haj triple wide like whaaaa awesome show

I dont know why you think he has the wrong date. This was last night man it's the right date. Sounds pretty good though from what I can tell. Nothing too mind blowing but both nights were solid. This is one you dont pay for but instead hop on the archive. thanks!

Broooo great recording job, it sounds better than most UM shows put up here, but you got the wrong date of the show

Subject: Wow
Honestly, I think this might be the best turn around I've ever seen on an Umph show. The show ended less than 12 hours ago. Thank you so much!

Notes

NOTES
* With Scott Metzger replacing Brendan on guitar and a member of Tragedy on cowbell.
** With Matisyahu on vocals.
