This was the first U-Melt I downloaded after seeing them play the tarmac at Coventry. Even Mike Gordon stopped by for a listen that night. Ive been hooked ever since.
If you like this show, check out some of the Oct/Nov 06 and Feb/March 07 shows.....

U-Melt is so sick. I really hope they hit it huge. Bubblehouse is MMW, and it's sweet.

Subject: Great Jams
These guys have great jams, and isnt that what its really all about? Thier songs, vocals, and everything else are awesome and show amazing potential for greatness as well.
This show is a seriouis monster - its got to be the longest show I have in my library (or one of them). And to say that I was entertained the entier time, which is a truthatude, speaks volumes because I even get a little bored at parts of my favorite jamster's shows.
Serius's Jam On station has really been jockin' these guys as of late, too. Seems like they are really taking the scene by storm.
This is the first full show I listened to. The rest of this review is not that important. My first listening of this show was the day that my orthopedic surgeon called back after reviewing my MRI to say that he recomended my having a second knee surgery. If you've ever had one, you'll know that its the damndest injury to heal from due to the lack of blood that gets to the knee. Anyways, I was about 1/4 into the show when I decided to take a little jog around the block to determine if I really needed the surgery. While seriously jamming out to U-Melt on my i-pod, the little jog turned into a 3.5 mile run. This is pretty awesome since I am out of shape and have an f'd up knee. I also happened to be wearing a super sweet Steely Dan shirt, and as I rounded the final turn of the run the band went into Kid Charlamane (sp) and by that time I had already figured out that these guys were winners, but that set it in stone. All in all it was a great night: found a sweet new band and eliminated mounting concerns about my health.
U-Melt, please come out to San Fran!!!!!
PS: why dont more jamers cover steely? maybee I just dont have those shows, but seems to be a rarity. Steely D. was one of the tightest bands to ever take the stage.

Subject: Homegrown futurestar
Checked these guys out because they are new to the Homegrown Network and I usually like better than half the bands on the network. Turns out they have a futurestar here. I was not overly impressed at first, but halfway through the show these guys started hitting some serious jams. Check out Eternal Groove and Human Compass. If it tickles your jam bone, download the show. With a couple more years of jammin together and festivalising I can see these guys breakin out.
Good sound quality, massive show. Check em out.
