Reviewer:Arrond_Wolf - - November 30, 2007 Subject: U-Melt seems to thrive on the Jersey Shore This show gets a 4 of 5 simply because having been at the most recent Stone Pony (11-24-07) show for Phanphest's 2nd Annual Phamily Reunion and taped (although not NJFunk's current available d/l tapes) Ive listened back to this show, then both my DAT masters and NJFunk's rendering of the most recent sets. This band get better every set, every night, night after night. This show is amazing! But if I were to rate it a 5, there would be no room for them to grow... Now that I typed that I will retract my previous 4 of 5 and say 3 of 5. Great, Great playing... But Archive is going to have to establish to 0 to 10 scale to accurately describe the intensity of U-Melt when there on-on. Theyre always ON. But there are those moments that defy articulate expression of evaluation. I rated this years Pony sets 5 of 5, and on this scale those sets by no stretch of the imagination are the best two I have heard in the 10 shows (9 that I've have the luxury of taping). This is my official appeal to administrators of LMA to create a scale of 0 to 10. Because I can't continue to rate everything a five and have people not dismiss the validity of a 5 out of 10... I just don't see 5 other red stars to select as of yet.
