unfoundsound presents another deep and fun-filled minimal tech-house masterpiece from philly's own diss0nance. addict ep opens with "paku paku" - a deep and simplistic dj tool fueled by gritty found-sound percussion, charming bleeps, subtle synth stabs and a smooth bassline. the second track is aptly titled "flutter" - a deep and dancey (and fluttery) number that bounces you through playful field recordings, goofy synth stabs, a catchy bassline and heady melodies that'll make you quiver with glee. then you have the title track, "addict", which is a dark and driving dancefloor killer carrying a detroit-meets-berlin undertone - chock full of gut-wrenching synthesizers, sticky percussion, scraping found-sounds, sinister reverbs and bubbling commotion. the final cut is a rework of "addict" courtesy of dilo from buenos aires, argentina - again dark and driving like the original, meanwhile diving more into experimental terrain offering djs a critical afterhours tool that scrapes and grinds with dark found-sounds and a mind numbing bassline. indulge in the profound depths of deep and dark minimalism. oh yeah!
