Guest soloist Edward Auer, Professor of Piano at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, joins Barbara Schubert and the University of Chicago Symphony Orchestra to perform Brahms' monumental "Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat Major". Three tone poems from Smetana's richly colored and passionately patriotic "Ma Vlast" -- including "The Moldau" -- make up the first half of this engaging late-Romantic program.
