Adelina AgostinelliTosca: Vissi D'Arte (1913)

Another leading lady of opera made this cylinder in Europe for Edison. The quality of this recording is remarkable when you consider that it was made near 90 years ago

Subject: The Golden Age
We won't try to convince you spuzz. We call this "The Golden Age" and the number of superb singers, especially women, was astonishing. Agostinelli was born in 1882, near the end of the Age. She was much admired, but didn't record for the big companies, so she isn't well known these days.

Subject: Ehhhhhh..
If you like sopranos and Opera, this may do it for you. Me myself, said, "eh, another lady, another opera" and just moved on. It's just ok.
