Subject: Good recording of a great show!
This was such a great show, and I'm glad someone was there to record it. Hearing Bobby sing Kashmir was worth the price of admission alone. Oh wait, there was no price of admission! Thanks to Will and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass!

Subject: great show with decent recording
I read about this show in Relix magazine, and it is every bit as good as it was described. I have never gotten the chance to see the Weirbacks, but this show gives me a good idea of what it's like. Perfect balance of GD covers and Waybacks originals. I give it 4 starts because the recording is somewhat sub par. Some audience noise, and the vocals are a bit muffled.

Subject: Waybacks + Bob Weir = Weirbacks
What an amazing show! The Waybacks have finally lived up to their name. Most of these songs ARE from wayback. Starting up with two of my favorite Dead tunes from the Seventies (Bertha, Jackstraw), touching the Sixties with two Rolling Stones songs {19th Nervous Breakdown, Last Time}, covering Led Zeppelin's Kashmir, playing more Dead with Dire Wolf, St. Stephen, Dupree's Diamond Blues,and Casey Jones, and finally encoring with Dylan's Like A Rolling Stone; this show is a keeper! I know the Weirbacks have been tour since Spring. I'm pleased I was finally able to hear them. It was WORTH THE WAIT!!!!
* with Bob Weir
** also with Gillian Welch, David Rawlings
Mics were located DFC about 50' from stage. During the early songs, when people were seated, they were on a 3.5 foot stand. From midway through Bertha on the crowd stood and I hand-held the stand to put the mics at about 6.5 feet.
