WH Records has given spot #23 to this extraordinary psychedelic power noise ensemble. Intense auditory massage reaches into your brain to tweak your evolution.
EXOXEN has spent at least 15 years as a tape project among a small group of friends, and is making its first international debut here. A large number of instruments and an armada of analogue and digital effects were deployed in this compelling textural assault.
What more can I say? Listening is believing. But if pressed for a comparison, I'd say place them on a spectrum somewhere between Helios Creed and Throbbing Gristle. Get this album and spend some time with it. It's destined to become a cult favorite.

EXOXEN - 1.0
Webbed Hand Records has released some very interesting recordings based on found sound and digital manipulation. Exoxen is the most easily listenable recording I have heard from them. While still being challenging it does give the listener a lot to work with. There's more of a variety of sounds on 1.0 than on other Webbed Hand releases. It is noisy but remains easily understood by the ear. archive.org

Subject: Good ole head banging days...
Some great and powerful tracks here but the over packages is competent. That is not to say its bad - quite the opposite. Deep, potent and trance inducing: electronic orgasm with a sprinkle of rock and ballard. Check out the first 3 tracks for some real FUN! I wouldn't recommend any chemical inducements for these 3 since its not really required (go ahead then and fry your brain then). Overall definately a strong stand-alone album but with a bit more variety it could have the THE best psychedelic internet album. I would recommend listening of this with headphones....you don't want to drive the neighbours nuts!!
