Here's another Sci-Fi themed album by Akashic Crow's Nest. This time the concept centers on the experiences of a miner/prospector in a remote and hostile off-world mining colony. The sound: strong droney ambient soundscapes, a little more intense that in The Void Captain's Tale (wh015).

Subject: More Sound Effects than Soundscape
I was expecting a rich soundscape that would bring up images of a strange alien planet. The second track does this pretty well. The other tracks sound more like someone noodling with a synthesizer to create sound effects rather than someone creating a soundscape.

A haze of dust and particles forms a cloud around the mining colony, all a-chug with drilling and processing sounds-- drones, shrieks, humms-- this colonist / miner has dug deep and found value there.
