Manatee is a 45-minute ambient soundscape which give the feeling of sleeping outdoors under the stars, on a balmy southern Summer night. Electronic and instrumental sounds are blended with field recordings in a relaxing continuum with no dissonance, shocks or surprises. The whole effect is warm and agreeably trance-inducing. This piece has a brain-massaging bass pulse and a nice panoramic sound arrangement.
If you like the Webbed Hand Rain series, as well as the other excellent ambient releases on this label, then Manatee will be your cup of tea.

Subject: Brilliant but flawed.
I love the first 35 minutes of this, I really do. Beautiful soundscape as everyone else has said. But for the last 10 mins, there's this incredibly annoying, extremely repetitive, wood-tapping sound that I can imagine no natural cause for. If I could remove it from the piece I definitely would, but I'm no artist, so it's only my opinion.

Subject: Lovely piece
A very nice calm sounscape. The atmosphere of this track is very reminiscent of the Orb's "Spanish Castles In Space", soothing and luminous. Recommended.
