Despite being "minimal" this new opus by Mystified is also full of subtlety and warmth. In a nutshell it is a long-form dronescape, lightly seasoned with dimly audible sparkles, tones and harmonics. The central theme is pleasantly massaging industrial hum, with a bit of distortion and crackle in it.
Produced by Thomas Park, 2005.

Subject: pure minimalistic
In general I am not so fond of electronic music. Yet I really love to listen to this track over and over again.
I mainly do this when I work at home on my pc and "normal" music or radio seems to annoy me, because it slightly draws your attention to it.
It is best to be heared it headphones.
After this track there follows in my playlist another track of Mystified: Wind Hands (perhaps you should check out his one, too)

Subject: Too minimal
One nice, dense drone. I like dark ambient music, but this is too minimal for my tastes. While there are some haunting sections, much of this sounds like someone fell asleep on the keyboard.

Subject: Drone...
Talk about drone... this is one of the most ultimate drones I've heard in a while. Dark, brooding, monotone, but still quite relaxing in a way(especially if you like this sort of sound, and I do). Mystified's work is pure class most of the time, and this is no different. Also check out the many variations done on this theme by Stephen Philips and Zen Potato for instance at TZP Drone Network. Anyway, get this if you like drone. That sums it up.

Subject: Spitzenklasse!

Subject: Amazingly minimal but intriguing stuff
The work of Mystified continues to amaze me. He has an incredible ability to take next to nothing and make something extremely interesting out of it. This recording, called Constant, I first heard on the Blue Water Drift Dive show on StillStream.com. About 20 minutes into the piece, when I sorta came out of the trance I was in, I realized I had been listening to this piece for quite a while (not sure how long actually). The piece is very minimal but somehow manages to quiet and sooth. Very cool indeed. It inspired me so much so, that I created an all new piece in the same vein as Constant which is called Constant 2. Nice work Myst!

Subject: another excellent track
subtle and 6/8. if you are not acquainted with the webbed hand esthetic be sure and give the track plenty of time to affect you. if your monkey-mind chatters too much while listening, tell it "thank you for helping me cope with the grosser aspects of the material world, but i'm doing something different right now".
