Subject: Great stare - bad sound

The enjoyment would've been greater with at least some kind of sound. Now all that hissing and cracking with background music killed almost all lines. Otherwise very good film with Bela at his best.

Could be ****, but the missing sound missed the stars...

This is a fascinating movie. It is best watched sitting in front of your computer, because the sound is just clear enough to be heard from there (you may miss a few words from time to time, but that's all right). Bela Lugosi is at his best, and the other actors/actresses are quite convincing. If you like zombies, you will enjoy this merry crowd.

I'm sorry. I was all set to watch this unique
horror flick when I found I was leaning in too clos to my speakers to hear it. I try all the downloads and still can not hear it.

How many spooky closeups of Bela's face and eyes can you fit into one movie? Dude - check the unibrow!

I agree with a previous reviewer - the sound was bad on mpeg1 and mpeg2. I guess it's just the way the source was. It can be very difficult at times to even hear the dialog.

Subject: Whit Zombie...Orrrrrrr The Girl I Love

Heyyyyyyy, The Bela is at his usual best in this movie.

I'm still wonderin' just how the platinum Blond managed to pull it off. Only her hair dresser knows. What a show, what a show??? Good one and all the nasties are here in the show with the castle, rocky beach front with the high cliffs, the one who loves her and the other one who loves her and the one who loves to make her love him, him, and himÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ

A must see. The Bela donÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂt fly so good in thisÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂun but he do try. You just gotta watch as the Bela tries his wingsÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ. Errrr, ummmmmm, did I sat wings?????

WellÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ. What can I say???

Subject: Bela...why did ya leave us??!!!

without question the best film on the "archive".
and maybe bela's best movie.
but beware...i downloaded the 3gig copy a few months ago and had to delete it.
the sound is awfull.try one of the smaller files first to see if they posted a better copy.
if not..buy a copy.this movie is excellent.

The best word for this movie's coolness: mood. It is a film about the danger of selfish desire, in a familiar Dracula-like backdrop. A very similar story to Dracula, in fact. So Mr. Lugosi isn't the only element common to the famous tale. Extremely effective images create a chilling atmosphere, and original film ideas make White Zombie enjoyable on repeated viewings.

Rock & Roll! Classic Bela. Great story rich in intrigue. When the true story is revealed??? Listen for the crunching of bones when the drugged suger plantation slave falls in the grinder. This movie is a must see. Definetly weirder than any of today's obvious Hollywood gore-fests. Perhaps a social commentary of the sorts... (not enough to ruin a Classic) Without the cheesey "PC."
