Subject: Rich in detail and emotion
Subject: Rich in detail and emotion
This is the most intimate portrait of Tibetans during the late 1800s that I've read. Rich in detail and heartfelt emotion, it's filled with terrifying events, and warm experiences. The author is an incredibly brave woman trying to bring Christianity to a thoroughly Buddhist country, and her sacrifices are almost unbearable.
