Subject: possibility to use footage in documentary?
Subject: possibility to use footage in documentary?
Hi, we're a Spanish association preparing a documentary film about sexual agressions to women and we would love to be able to include some of the footage of "Woman in Brown" in the editing. How can we contact you to find out if this is possible?
We would be happy to send you more information on the documentary and about ourselves.
Thanking you in advance,
Kind regards,
Norma Nebot,

I've tried to see this film on two occasions. Both times no sound was heard even the original review states that it is a courtroom drama with people accusing others of murder. I know I would be interested in this film if it had sound. I don't think it is supposed to be a silent film. Maybe the person who downloaded it to this sight was able to see it on the original website but it doesn't work for me here.

This movie takes place, almost, entirely in a court room. An Hungarian courtroom, to be precise. The movie begins with a man lying on his deathbed.(in America) Thought by all, to be a deaf-mute, they surprisingly hear him speak? An older gentleman then begins to tell the story of a Baron, rich, who discovers oil on his land and keeps it a secret so he can buy up the neighboring farms for little monies. All sell but one family who are tenants on the one of the farms. A young woman disappears, apparently murdered...Not one, but ALL the tenants of this farm are accused of her murder!!... Why does the son of one of the men, all but, accuse his own father, of commiting the murder? Was it murder?...and where is the woman in the "Brown dress"?..the Woman in Brown.
If you like court drama, you'll like this. The court scene is a bit unorthodox, no order in THAT court. It's full of many twists and turns and you need to pay close attention to remember who saw and said, what. I loved it!
I'm not giving it 5 stars only because of the atmosphere of the courtroom scenes. It was like being in a morgue: dank and dark...but then, that could have been intentional?
