Austria is a country with a rich musical heritage. Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and the Strauss family all called it home at some point. It is not, however, widely known for its Drum'n'bass heritage. RMF is on a mission to change that. With a 12" already under his belt thanks to 13music, and releases forthcoming with Plainaudio and Syncopathic, we're very lucky to have him here on Exegene. A-side Rhodesia skilfully edits its way through 6 minutes of the finest jazz stylings, with some rude flute noodling and an upright bass to die for. By the time Erronel drops, the club has closed and the music is dying into the night. RMF strips the jazz motif down to its bare essentials; a bass stab here, a sax lick there, and more of the same sick edits throughout.
