So, not much can be said about this show outside of what others have shared, but I will enrich it the best I can. This show was a huge stretch for me. I was living in Charleston, South Carolina at the time, and once rumors that Yonder was going to play the Warfield proved true, we (my buddy Ricky and I) knew that we had to be there, especially having befriended the band during their East Coast visits over preceding the show(see my other recordings and reviews)
A drunken cross-country flight and a warm reception from Kinfolk that we had me during the NYE celebration in St. Louis, started the weekend off. Upon our arrival, we attended the Garaj Mahal show at the GAMH with Yonder and proceeded to get our party on. Well, we partied until Casey (road manager at the time) whisked Jeff away from us. Fast forward through a long, crazy night in San Fran to show time.
The Warfield was special for so many reasons. Obviously, it was hallowed ground. Beyond that, the Warfield was a huge room for Yonder; I'd argue probably one of the largest venues they'd played to date. Depsite the size of the room, the crowd was as intimate as I have ever seen at a live show. Everyone knew everyone, or so it seemed. The energy was electric, and the band certainly felt it. A song by song review is completely unnecessary because there aren't any low points. The whole show is a complete thought and expression of the energy felt by all in attendance. The Mississippi Half Step was, without question, an emotional high point. Also, the band was permitted to use JGB's stage backdrop and lighting, which added to the ambience and emotion.
If you are a Yonder fan, this is a must have show in your collection. As far as the recording, I don't know who owned the HHb Portadat, but Brad Burleson's and my Sony TCD-D-8's were in the recording chain. I believe that Brad's is the source of this recording. If I remember correctly, there weren't any audience tapers.

The recording is excellent and displays Yonder at their best. The boys start off with a Peace of Mind that is jammed to perfection. The setlist includes a good mix of bluegrass, pride of alabama is right on point by dave johnston, covers, and jams. The whole band sounds great on vocals. Wish I could have attended.

This show is awesome. I WISH I could have been there, but as the other reviewers mentioned, the sound quality is supreme, so it's definitely as close as you can get to being there. Get this now! The peace of mind opener is awesome, and they hold the momentum throughout.

They are on fire here. This is a classic. Tight as hell and the recording is amazing. Warm and crisp SBD. Ben's bass is full, and the singing is right on. Man, I don't know if gets any better. I definitely agree with other reviewer.
