When I listen to this I filled with such warm nostalgia. What a fun weekend in Colorado.
I probably have listened "Old Train" a thousand times

i happened to catch this show at the paramount to bring in '03 right after old hands came out i think. this is ymsb before they hit "the big time." just a humble band trying to get it right. i also think they are good enough to get it right again in the future. a classic cut of great colorado jamgrass right here. download it!

Winamp nor my audio compression tool are not recognizing the files. When I download the whole directory it says there are no files to extract. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks

This was my first Yonder show! What a great night. I remember stumbling around the Paramount during the second set looking for my friends and feeling like the band had been playing for days inside that little theater.
I'm just wondering if there is any way to get the rest of disc four uploaded. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YMSB gives their usual bluegrass meets jamband performance for sets two and three. Set one however is like nothing else they've ever played before or after (as far as I can tell). The set almost entirely consists of bluesgrass standards. From 'Ginseng Sullivan' to 'Man Of Constant Sorrow,' 'Rocky Top' and 'Dueling Banjos,' it's a really unique set for the band and by itself makes the show worth downloading. Not that the other two sets and overall 4 1/2 to 5 star sound quality wasn't good enough a reason. The whole set is filled with New Year's madness.

I'm not a fan of the jamgrass/jamband genre. The jazzy, syncopated improvisational technique works with jazz...imho, it doesn't work with bluegrass. Now, bluegrass does have a place for highly improvisational musicianship, it's part and parcel of the style. But the jambands work outside that undescribable style, and I just don't get it.
Having said that, this is one great show!
This is my first serious listen to Yonder Mountain and the jam concept works here. It still "sounds" like bluegrass (most of the time) and the band's high energy is certainly contagious. I'm not going to go out on a limb and declare that I'm a believer in this jamgrass stuff, but a show like this has certainly made me re-evaluate some of my views.
The best surprise out of this set is the Yonders' performance as The Cosmic Bowling League...their set is a collection of traditional, old-time bluegrass standards, and these guys can play the traditional bluegrass I prefer when they want to. I can only hope that at some point we can see a massive set like this one devoted solely to the Cosmic Bowlers.
This show is highly recommended from a tradittional bluegrass junkie like me!

First off this is a great show and well worth the download as are most Yonder Mountain Shows. Secondly I've uploaded the Cosmic Bowling League part of the show for everyone to get the complete show. It's the second show for this day listed so everyone should download that as well.
