Subject: Help!
I'm dying to listen to these shows in completion (both YMSB Newport shows - this and the day prior) but I cannot get the entire show file to download correctly. Any ideas on why this is happening just for these two shows? Is there another way to download the show...? Thanks!

Subject: What a show...
Just throwing my 5 stars on here... Both shows were amazing...the Whipping Post really hits it. NOTE: Roll On Blues is actually Nine Pd. Hammer (sorry if that was already mentioned b4hand)

Thank the gods for the Bluegrass revival and the YMSB. I grew up with Bill Monroe records layered with Kiss, BOC and Deep Purple and finally It's come full circle with bands like this. This recording ROCKS! High energy, great jams, outstanding sound quality. DL this show now and run with it.

I don't know about y'all but I got hammered at both these shows. These shows were top notch A team. The first night the fans broke the record alcohol sales for the past 30 years at the Newport and the next night they broke that record by 1000.

When Yonder came to the newport the winter tour before this one the show sold out and the crowd want absolutely nuts. Jeff said it was like a religious experience last time he was here when he came out the first night at these shows. That is why they decided to play a two show tour closer in the C-bus. Both nights sold out this time and the crowd was great.

The sound of these two shows is amazing big ups to the taper. I am writing this post after they came to Columbus once agian in 07 and sold out once again. They should just move here and become a house band at one of our local bars. We love them in the Buckeye city.

saw both nights, have listened to these shows NUMEROUS times, and I can't wait to see these boys at Red Rocks in September.... great sound quality too.... the cornbread nation sets were repetitive from one night to the next, but they still tore it up..... thanks for the post, I've been wearing this one out!

Hey Bogey, Danny and Tim may be great, but Darol Anger could be the best addition to any Yonder show.

Do you guys realize how fucking hard these boys rock?! Sweet shows.. both nights. Danny and Tim are the best guests Yonder ever plays with! Lovely sound as well. If I could give this show a fuck load of stars I would... but I can only give it 5

Subject: Great show, but matrix has too much audience...
I admit I love matrix mixes. Soundboards are great, but it's nice to hear some audience reaction in the background. I note that other reviewers like the ambient crowd noise in this show, but for my ears the audience portion of the matrix is too overpowering AT TIMES.

Also, for some reason the end of the first set makes up the first four tracks on CD 2, even though there is plenty of room for them on CD 1. For a better "flow" I put d2t01-d2t04 on the my CD1, so it ends with the guys announcing the set break. CD2 opens with Set II and still clocks in at about an hour, and ends with Crow Black Chicken, which is d2t10, and CD3 was left as is. IMHO, it all just flows together more cohesively with the four tracks moved from CD2 to the end of CD1.

This is a great show and the band's energy level seems to feed off the crowd's, so it's a LOT OF FUN! The audio is a little thin at times during the cover of the Beatles' It's All Too Much, but other than that, the sound is great -- well, plus my two cents' worth about there being a bit too much audience in the mix. Still, this is definitely worth the download, as is the night before.

Praise is in order for the folks that produced this great recording. The nice clarity from the soundboard plus a healthy dose of the ambient sounds makes this one really special.

Great show for YMSB too, wish I was there!

Subject: FYI
Cornbread Nations opening sets WERE DEFINITELY recorded. I stood right next to the deck as it rolled. The taper hasn't had time to get the recordings up just yet.

Patience is a virtue.

Tim O'Brien's opening sets with Danny Barnes and Dennis Crouch were not recorded.

Subject: Thanks for the tapes, Tapecat
Especially if this is the same Tapecat from the Zone...man you hook up everyone with musical love. You kick ass, bro!!!

These shows are rocking...sounds like YMSB is in full swing. Special guests on this night really seemed to bring out the best in Yonder. Guess I'll have to catch them in Santa Cruz since they are skipping the Bay Area.

Thank you/full respect to the tapers and uploaders of this rager. Anyone have any clue where one might procure a copy of the Cornbread Nation set that preceded this one? Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

Subject: just keep on gettin better
this is the 8th time ive seen yonder and let me tell you that they have gotten better musically each time. Jeffs stage presence is on par with many of the great lead singers and i just love how they jam out with the psecial guests every night! Danny Barnes is sick on the banjo by the way. Jeff said that Fridays show broke a 25 year record at the newport for the most alcohol consumed in a night and i wotn argue that because it was a full and rowdy house! Go Zeke!
