I would not say that this is a step backwards for the Dead Letters horde but maybe a sidestep as it is not at all the melodic drone pop you would expect these days. This is a 20 minute track, divided into some smaller parts, made of chirping field recordings and hissing, throbbing drones.

I for one hope that this isnt a one-off thing since it is brilliantly crafted and highly emotional stuff, well worth a download. Maybe you wont regret it if you dont, but you will miss one of the best mp3 releases Ive heard in a long, long time.
