another great smooth show. Lets face facts, this kind of shit is just about dead and done. Disagree? Name 3 bands [not including the hardest working rock n roller out there - jerry joseph] that tour regularly now a days in bars or clubs that play a supersonic rock show, which has band members who are equals to these guys in musicianship, uniqueness, and are as well practiced and tight as these guys were. And, to the NJPig reviewer, what are you even talking about. The quality of this miller remaster is spectacular, and guess what, the covers that zero does in this show were covers they did all the time, i.e. they were part of their standard repetoire, for years [perhaps with the exception of mama tried]. Your spraying evidences your cluelessness.

I have reviewed a few other concerts on the Archive by possibly my favorite band, Zero, and this is maybe the one I like least. There are several bad versions of standards/cover songs here, and this is not a field in which Zero excels. The instrumentals and originals would be good if the performances were better, and the quality of the recording is not very good either. There are great moments--how could there not be!--but far too few for this to be called one of their better shows.

A classic Bad Santa recording!
This was one of my favorite of many awesome shows ZERO put on in the late ninties.
The first set is as good as it gets!
Tangled Hangers >Papa Was a Rolling Stone > Eleanor Rigby >Papa Was a Rolling Stone >
Eleanor Rigby > Low Rider >Papa Was a Rolling Stone > Gregg's Eggs >Ghost Riders in the Sky >
Gregg's Eggs > d1t14 - Tangled Hangers
just blows me away every time I hear it.
Plus on "Friday's Child" Chip is playing my old
1970 Takamine F360 guitar. It has never sounded better!

Another golden Charlie source. Thanks a million! This show just kicks ass! Check out Steve's solo at the end of Use Me Up...talk about shredding guitar solos...damn! Oh I love ZERO...just wish I could have seen them back in 1998. Maybe a reunion tour would bless us all.
Whoops....thanks Art for the recording!

I can't take credit for the source, just the mastering. This was recorded by Art Granoff. This is truly a great show....cm
