So so recording. This the first show that I played after Martin left the tour in NYC. Loved the guy, but I played much better once he was absent. Some of the best jams that we ever played in my opinion. My rating is for the recording.

There are sound problems, probably both at the venue and on the recording, but these are periodic and don't interfere with the absolute magnificence of this show too much. Worrying at the beginning is that Cip's guitar is inaudible in the first song, but this gets rectified for the rest of the show, and it's some of the best Cips guitar you'll ever hear. Fiero is absent, but the trumpet player is awesome and so is everybody else.

Some mix issues and the sound isn't pristine, but a decent Cippolina-era Zero show nevertheless. The guitars seem to suffer the most, but the mix is mostly consistent [d2t1 is almost inaudible until ~1:30 in]. Cippolina sounds like he's up front mainly on the cover tunes, with Kimock handling the originals... Cip sounds especially hot on slide, and young Steve wails like you'd expect. Love that trumpet too (no Martin), and that's John Farey on keys, not Banana. Highlights are a hot Golden Road, Tear Tags, and The Core. Also Pride of Man sounds like maybe it's filler? (this could fit on 1cd w/o Pride) Ah well. 3 stars for the uneven sound and playing.
