Notes

Fritz1 is incorrect to disect the name and consider this a Crow release. Crow did cassettes under that name in the late 1980's and now is still active in the arts. Sorry for the confusion.

Subject: Update on November 9, 2005 review
Sometimes one of us would think we've found an error. That's what I thought I did in November 9, 2005 when I wrote this:

--------------------------------------------------

I've observed something. I looked at the jpeg image on "Thousands Are Still Asleep" by Here Be Monsters (also on ZH27). There is a list of artists featured on there (also listed in the description). One of them is Crow. It tells me that THIS piece is not "Crow White" by Crow White, but "White" by Crow.

--------------------------------------------------

At the time, there wasn't much of a discription than just "Crow White." NOW the description tells me that it's "Crow White" featuring Richard Crow (and a few others). I hope I got it right THIS time. :) Here's the rest of my review (with a couple of corrections and an update below).

--------------------------------------------------

Anyway, I think of this as a good one for any fan of experimental electronic music. This piece may be over 19 years old by now, but it sounds timeless. I've been hearing electronic works made even earlier and, usually, wouldn't suspect how old the piece is unless I see the year. This is something I would listen to time and again.

As compared to "Thousands Are Still Asleep", and "The Man Who Would PBKing", "Crow White" is relatively the quieter of the half-hour long works on ZH27 (the loudest part starts at about 21:00 to around 22:34). Nothing wrong with how loud or quiet the piece is. I just thought I'd let you know if you're gonna listen to the other 2 works. They're worth a listen.
