ZanstonesZanstones - We'll Drive 'ol Scratch Away (September 21, 1996)

Jeff likes it when I just PLAY + here I am in my element. Scratchin', scrapin', squeekin', howlin' and gettin' down wif it. This is perhaps the 36th Zanstones (mid period) and a confident work that gives an occasional hint to the rarely divulged fact that I live in Kentucky. With material by Agog, Ditto, PBK, Runzlestirn & Gurglestock, John Wiggins.

Very nice meditative piece that works well played loud or soft, forwards or backwards. Very warm toned feedback intro that feeds with perfect catharsis into a section that was probably recorded in a light drizzle on a Kentucky highway, followed by a dynamic 'movement' that sounds like circuit-breaking of the synaptic variety. Great mix, on this powerful, well-balanced noisescape, a must for any late-night noise stream playlist.
