Reviewer:pulp79 - - May 20, 2009 Subject: Absolutely essential... It's a shame that songs like Riverview and Spilled Milk didn't make the cut for the Mary Star of the Sea. If they did, the album could have been a classic. One listen to the versions here, and you'll see why. Riverview is the freakiest, most intense song about an old, defunct theme park ever! And Spilled Milk will melt your face clean off. Devastating, especially through decent speakers. The Alice Cooper cover is the gravy on top.
Excellent quality, excellent performance. Awesome triple-guitar attack, with Billy busting through here and there to show us how it's done. And of course Jimmy being, well....Jimmy. Maniacal. At times I think he's gonna pummel his drum kit into splinters.
BTW, this is much better quality than the "Spilled Milk" bootleg floating around back in '03, due to the split correction.
