1 A hemidrachm of Telephos was discovered about the year 1841, and for many
years the existence of this Indo-Graeeian king remained known from this one specimen.
Two more are now in the Berlin Museum, and were published in Von Ballet's monograph
Die Naehfolger Alexander ties Grossen in Inctien. Eecently one or two copper coins of Telephos
of two different types have come to light. Type (ii) was published by Mr. Vincent Smith,
in * Numismatic Notes and Hovelties', Part III, J.A.S.B., 1898. I published type (a) la
K. S. XIV, from a good specimen in my own Cabinet. Since this latter publication I have
