If only we bear in mind this teaching of the Gita and avoid hungerless eating, the're would be no caiise for indigestion. IMPORTANT RULES OF EATING 1. Eat only when you are hungry* 2. Never eat when you are tired or emotionally upset; postphone your xneal; till the condition is changed, 3. If you take a solid meal at night, do not eat anything in the morning/ but observe the •no-breakfast plan* 4. If you have to be at work during day/ do nots .•eat the principal meal before, but after the work is over/ as else the meal will not be digested, 5- Do not eat when the mouth is dry; you are f\ot hungry then. 6. Let the food be as dry as possible. 7. Do not eat hastily; chaw every motsel of food/ before swallowing. 8. Stop eating when you get the ' stomach's v^to'; you will then feel that you could iake a little more* If yoy overstep this mark, though there may l?e no heaviness immediately after the meal/ it will )je felt after about two hours. Space must always flge left for £he movements of the stomach/ and also for drinking some water, when needful, 9. In one meal there should be only one course ' or one dish, If you eat grains/ let there be only one ;kmd of grain. Even in vegetables and fraits it is!
