New Riders Of The Purple Sage 09/15/11 (Thu) Mexicali Live - Teaneck, NJ Recorded last table furthest from stage in the middle, 35-40 feet from stage. Mics XYed at 40 degrees, aimed at the speakers, about 10 feet high. Miked with Scheops MK41s on CMC6xt bases on Grace design lunatec V3 with mic preamps only no digital. Recorded on Sound devices 744T at 192/24 with 744T's AD converters. This is an analog remaster (in the name ARM = analog remaster). Remastering effects chane; Soundforge 9 played thru a Lynx Studio AES16 into UA2192 for 24-192 digital to analog conversion then into SPL 9526 stereo vitalizer just for the stereo exspanded effect nothing else then into Klark Teknik DN 410 for EQ then back into the UA2192 for analog to 24-192 digital conversion and recorded on to a Sound Devices 744T. The Lynx Studio AES16 and UA2192 are clocked to an antilope Isochrome master clock set at 192Khz. Edited, tracked and all fades and sample rate conversion to 48Khz processed in 64 bit then converted to 24 bit in Soundforge 9 then converted to 24-48 Flac in J. River Media Center 17. I recorded with 2 pairs of mikes that night, 2 AkgCK69 with 480 bases, and 2 Scheops MK41 with CMC6xt bases. The Akgs sound less distant, have better tonal balance and sounds a little clearer with a little less room noise. The Scheops have more country twang and sound a little more like an audiance recording. But have more room noise and sound more distant. 09/15/11 (Thu) Mexicali Live - Teaneck, NJ Set 1: Rocky Road Blues, Henry, Where I Come From, Big Six, Blues Barrel, Louisiana Lady, Whatcha Gonna Do, Higher, I Don’t Know You, Down For The Ride, 17 Pine Avenue, Six Of One Set 2: Dead Flowers, Contract, Kick It On Down, That’s All, Last Lonely Eagle, Diamond Joe, Gypsy Cowboy, Deep Elem Blues, Lonesome LA Cowboy, Groupie, E: Glendale Train Lineup: David Nelson - guitar, vocals Buddy Cage - pedal steel Michael Falzarano - guitar, vocals Johnny Markowski - drums, vocals Ronnie Penque - bass, vocals
