ONE THOUSAND FAMOUS THINGS IT Bad News for Croakers In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death, and Isaiah came to him, and saidt Set thine house in order, for thou shall die. Then he turned his face to the wall., and prayed, saying, I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. And the word of the Lord came to him, saying, I have heard thy prayer ; I have seen thy tears : behold, I will heal thee. I will add unto thy days fifteen years, WE have always liked the page in the Bible which tells us that the good king Hezekiah lived another fifteen years. Fifteen years of life is a wondrous thing, and it was given to that good king who made a conduit and brought water to Jerusalem before he slept with his fathers. But today there is greater news, for fifteen years of life has been given to a nation. Our expectation of life has been raised in our generation from 40 to 55 years.
