SBCL ML RESEARCH AND TBAIMNG- (a) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.— Section 201(aXD of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 761(aXD) Is amended by insert- "" ing a comma after (b) NATIONAL INSTITUTE ON DISABILITY AND REHABILITATION RE- SEABCH.— Section 202 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 UJS.C. 761a) is amended — (1) in subsection (bX8), by striking "the handicapped79 and inserting "individuals with handicaps ; (2) in subsection (cXl)-; (A) by striking "his" each place it appears and inserting "the Directory '; (B) by striking ''National Council on the Handicapped" where it appears in the third sentence and inserting Na- tional Council on Disability"; and (C) by striking "him" where it appears in the last sen- tence and inserting "the Director"; (3) in subsection (cX3), by inserting a comma after "to such provisions"; (4) in the second sentence of subsection (g) — (A) by striking "in the consultation" and inserting "In consultation"; and (B) by striking "National Council on the Handicapped" and inserting "National Council on Disability79; (5) in the third sentence of subsection (g), by inserting "the Director considers" before "necessary"; (6) in subsection (iX2), by striking "Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services" and inserting "Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services"; (7) by amending subsection (jK2) to read as follows: "(2) The Director shall establish, either directly or by way of grant Grants. or contract, a Research and Training Center in the Pacific Basin in Contracts. order to improve services to individuals with handicaps through relevant rehabilitation research and training in the Pacific Basin and to assist in the coordination of rehabilitation services provided by a broad range of agencies and entities.
