The Committee chosen March 3, 1845, to examine and audit the Town Treasurer's accounts, have attended to their duty, and beg leave to submit the following Report.

Your Committee find the Accounts of the Treasurer correctly kept, and proper vouchers in his hands for all expenditures the past year ; and in their opinion it is necessary that some method be adopted in collecting the taxes, so to enable the Treasurer to meet all demands against the Town, without resorting to his own private funds, which he has done to a considerable amount, that the credit of the town might be honorably sustained.
