In North America it has been recorded on the east coast from West Greenland, (Iodhavn, latitude ti!t° 14' N., southward. This s])ecies generally occurs in rather low water among the stones, stuid, alga', etc., iiut has been taken from a dcpl^i of 111 fathoms (S. I. Smith).
