Goode Encore 2 d3t07 - Black Muddy River Audio Source Information: Soundboard shnid = 7507 Mastered by Jay Serafin, Serafin Station Studio B LINEAGE: SBD > PCM (analog output) > D > D > CDR > EAC > SHN Jay's comments: any/all editing, fades, NR, hiss elimination, phase shifting/"time smear" correction, jitter elimination, and +/-2 dB max. EQ were performed using 100% digital-only processing (24-bit/96kHz data stream) at Serafin Station Studio B [this show was released in 05/00] My comments: Both sets (d1t01, d2t01) start rather abruptly. Most likely a few notes are lost in both cases. There is a bit of distortion, tape flutter, or static in d1t01 from 1:11 to 1:15 and around 1:42. Extracted with EAC in secure mode. There was a sync error on d1t9, bu copy completed. Jay asks that the integrity and hard work of his mastering be respected: "all I ask is that the shows aren't edited in any way, such as taking out a lot of the between song lulls, etc. They're left in there because they were part of the show...". Sounds reasonable to me. Thanks. Bob H. While the Audio-CD standard (Red Book) hasn't changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it is still possible to go around the specification and to put a 5.1 surround recording on a regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio CD, so the first time you're trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low, start the disc and raise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analog audio outputs of your CD/DVD player. Burning Instructions Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any normal Audio-CD from FLAC files.
