| 2016-11-18 | 17 | 0 | ORDER SETTING CASE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE by Judge Andre Birotte Jr.: The JPML's transfer order indicates that the cases were transferred into this MDL action "for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings." The Court will therefore consolidate all of the actions into the MDL. To ensure a clear docket, the parties are ORDERED to file a Stipulated [Proposed] Order Consolidating Cases that captures all of the actions in this MDL. The Master File shall be denominated MDL No. 2719. (Member cases: 2:16-cv-1835, 2:16-cv-02361, 2:16-cv-02394, 2:16-cv-2439, 2:16-cv-05855, 2:16-cv-05857, 2:16-cv-04159, 8:16-cv-00880.) The Court hereby ORDERS that all attorneys of record for the parties in the Consolidated Actions are deemed admitted pro hac vice to practice before this Court, and no pro hac vice applications for admission to practice by counsel of record are required. No counsel of record for any party shall be required to obtain local counsel in the Central District of California. The Court is considering appointing a Plaintiffs' Administrative/Management Committee ("PAC"), and a Plaintiffs' Steering Committee ("PSC"). The Court will discuss this issue with counsel at the Case Management Conference on 12/19/2016. A Case Management Conference will be held on 12/19/2016 at 10:00 AM before Judge Andre Birotte Jr. The parties are ORDERED to file a Joint Preliminary Report no later than 12/12/2016. Counsel must advise the Court and other counsel as soon as possible, but no later than 12/5/2016, of any items that they propose should be added to the Agenda.
