To be sure of getting your plants at the desired time, please place your order well in advance. ZIP. When ordering, please give us your ZIP code No. “LINING-OUT stock” explained. Many plants in tihs price list are marked with an asterisk (*) and classed as lining out stock. This means that the plants, of the size so marked, are not generally considered large enough for landscaping. Rather, they should be lined out in rows, or grown in beds or cold frames where they can be protected, until they are large enough for landscaping. “POTTED plants” explained. When we list potted plants, the size listed is the size of the pot, not the size of the plant. Hence, “4 inch pot plants” means the plant is growing in a 4 inch pot. Note: when we sell the plant, we remove the pot and wrap the plant as dictated by its size and root development. PRICES. Prices quoted here are f. o. b. this nursery and are for “field average” plants. If the customer selects extra specimen material, an additional charge will be made. We will furnish one to four plants of a variety and size at each rate; five to 24 of a variety and size at the ten rate; 25 to 249 of a variety and size at the 100 rate. If a variety is listed at 10 rate and not at the each rate there will be an additional charge of 50 cents per plant if less than 5 are ordered. MINIMUM ORDER. The minimum order that will will be accepted is $5.00 excluding sales tax and packing and shipping charges. TERMS. Orders that are to be shipped must be ac- companied by remittance in full. Orders to be pick- ed up here must be accompanied by 25% deposit with the understanding that if you cancel your order after we have dug the plants, the deposit is forfeited as payment to us for digging and re- planting. A finance charge of 1% per month (12% per annum) is assessed on amounts 30 days or more past due. READ BEFORE ORDERING (cont.) PACKING AND SHIPPING. When plants are shipped, the customer pays packing and shipping at cost. In ordering, please add 10 percent of the cost of the plants to cover packing and shipping. If the actual cost differs from that 10 percent, we will refund or bill you accordingly. MAXIMUM SHIPPING SIZE. Due to the costs of packing and shipping, we do not ordinarily ship plants that are more than 6 feet tall. If the customer specifically authorizes it, we will in appropriate cases, prune a large plant back to proper shipping size. TELL US HOW TO SHIP. We ship by parcel post, motor freight, railway express, United Parcel Ser- vice and bus (Trailways and Greyhound). If you desire shipment by UPS or bus, please give us your telephone number. We can arrange shipment by truck if the size of the order warrants paying for a full load. PICK-UP ORDERS. If you want to pick up your plants here, please place your order in advance so that we can have it ready for you. CLAIMS AND GUARANTEE. Claims for shortages, errors, or any cause, must be made within 5 days after receipt of shipment. In no case are we liable for more than the invoice price of the plant. We guarantee to ship good, healthy stock but we do not assume any risk or responsibility for trans- portation, growth, or life of the plants after they leave this nursery. If your plants are damaged or excessively delayed in transit, make this nota- tion on the carrier’s delivery receipt and file a claim against the carrier immediately. Please note that our responsibility for delivery of your plants ends upon our delivering them to the carrier. PRICE SCHEDULE FOR BALLING AND BUR- LAPPING. In case of those plants specifically listed B&B, the prices in this catalog include the cost of balling and burlapping. Others are shown at bare root prices. A general guide for the addi- tional charge of balling and burlapping follows: Height of Plant Charge 2% to 8 ft. $3.00 3 COMA ahs 3.75 4 COND ete 5.25 5 to 6 ft. 6.75 These charges may vary depending upon the variety of plant involved. PLANTS NOT LISTED HERE. We have many plants which are not listed in the catalog because they are too large to ship, or because we have them in too small quantity. The large ones, in many cases, would be of particular value to landscapers. We welcome your inquiry for materials to meet your specific needs. TIME OF SHIPMENT. We can ship throughout the year except during extreme winter weather. 2 READ BEFORE ORDERING (cont.) CONDITIONS OF SALE. All orders are accepted on the condition that they shall be void if our plants are subjected to conditions beyond our control. TINGLE NURSERY | OFFICE Bu LoVILLE RAILROAD AVE. MAIN ST. Gable of Pennsylvania spent almost a lifetime working with Azaleas and Rhododendrons. Many years ago he started breeding azaleas witi the hopes of producing a hardier type of evergreen azalea in a good color range. He had wonderful success and is now recognized as a leader in the field. These varieties will average hardier than Hinode- giri and much hardier than the other Kurumes.
