The Magnix My Morning Jacket Live Recordings Archive Volume 15 (MMMJLRA15) Jim James solo acoustic In session for "duyster.", Studio Brussel, Brussels, Belgium December 2000 (broadcast December 17, 2000 - see notes) Source: FM > tape > tape > CD-R (most probably, see notes) Lineage: CD-R > EAC > FLAC level 8 Taper: unknown Transfered by: Martin B. & Magnix Total running time: 21m09s 1. Hopefully 2. Lowdown 3. The Way That He Sings 4. Interview Notes: Jim James solo session and interview for Studio Brussel. This was aired on Sunday December 17, 2000. However I know Jim had to catch the plane back home pretty early that day, so this was probably recorded a few days earlier. As he played shows in Brussels on December 14 and 15, one of those dates is probably the right one!? The interview has Jim talking about various things regarding MMJ's music, including the (then) new songs he just played, cover songs, and bandmember changes. Duyster is the name of the DJ of the particular program. I got this on CD-R early 2001 from traders in the UK. They got it on a tape from someone in Belgium and did the transfer to CD-R. I don't know how this transfer was done. It has quite some echo, as if too much hiss reduction has been applied, but this can also be from the reverb used. Anyhow, it's a pretty good recording, and a very nice session! Used software: EAC, and FLAC v1.1.2 as build in Traders Little Helper v1.1.1 (build 90); Also visit the My Morning Jacket live archive 1999-2004 at http://www.magnix.demon.nl/mmj/archive/, the My Morning Jacket Showfinder 1999-2007 at http://www.gerpotze.com/mymorningjacket/mmjsearch.htm, and "From Nashville To Kentucky", the illustrated My Morning Jacket discography 1995-2006 at http://www.gerpotze.com/mymorningjacket/.
