The state of health of the city improved considerably during the same period ; and though exanthematic diseases continued to prevail to a certain extent, we entered with the month of April into the most healthy season, which is likely to continue until the hot summer weather begins to exhibit its trying effects on the inhabit- tants, which we may expect towa-d the latter part of May.
