I did much post-processing on s2 to fix issues; particularly handclapping. Sometimes this was done by region- but when there is music, it is necessary to manually target each handclap (as is the case thru the first half-minute and later in 'sing me back home', etc.). This was accomplished with cool edit's 'noise reduction' clip/pop eliminator. Further, I normalized the set in two partitions (split @ 7:56), where I turned up the recording levels on my deck @ the show. There's a little bit of 'low-end' rumble @ the start of the set where I am adjusting the mic stand slightly. Listenting close, you can hear people's feet hit the floor as they're dancing at some parts. I could fix these, but they are a relatively minor issue imo. s3 was the 'standard' phil & friends configuration. More work on loud clapping done here. Mississippi Half step is a good breakpoint, merging set 2 Stella Blue is a good breakpoint w/o merging s4 featured Jackie Green, Tim Bluhm, and for the last song, Tim's wife Nicki. Clap redux applied at a variety of points where clapping far exceeded the volume of the music. s4 started especially soft, so I applied a volume envelope to amplify that section some. s5 returned to the 'standard' phil & friends configuration. There were balloon pops galore. I did balloon pop redux by hand throughout the set to reduce the possibility of explosive square-wave damage to your speakers. I got the worst looking ones, softer pops are throughout. Happy trails to you, with love from us! Krista & Phil
