1 July 1997 marks the day when Hong Kong has reunified with the motherland, China. The simple but majestic ceremony starts off the evening as the audience stand to attention while the national flag gradually raises under the national anthem played by People's Liberation Army Military Band from China.

解放軍 軍樂團

解放 軍軍樂 團在老 一輩無 產階級 革命家 關懷和 指導下 建立的 . 軍隊的 司禮演 奏任 務的禮 儀部隊 • 是 一大型 管樂藝 術團體 。 多年來 ' 完成 各種司 禮任務 先後迎 送了政 府首腦 和軍事 代表團 ， 出色 地承擔 並完成 了慶典 及重要 會議的 音樂演 奏任務 。 黨和 國家領 導人及 來訪各 國貴賓 對他們 的工作 給予高 度的評 價和熱 烈讚揚 。

他們堅 持黨的 文藝工 作方向 ' 努 力發展 和提高 軍樂藝 術水平 ' 舉辦各 種音樂 會 ' 深 入部隊 ' 演 出了大 量深受 群眾喜 愛的軍 樂節目 。 在長期 的藝術 實踐中 ' 他 們創作 積累了 一大批 群眾喜 聞樂見 、 題材廣 泛的音 樂作品 ' 為各廣 播電台 、 電視台 、 唱 片公司 、 音 像公司 提供了 大量的 音樂節 目 ' 在 軍隊文 藝會演 中多次 集體演 奏高水 平的音 樂作品 。

People's Liberation Army Military Band

Set up under the auspices of first generation Chinese leaders, the People's Liberation Army Military Band has been actively taking part in protocol functions during state ceremonies, important meetings, and receptions given to heads of state from countries all over the world. The band received high praise from government leaders and guests for their excellent performances. The band has also created a large collection of music which have been widely broadcast, videoed and recorded. These works have all been well received by the audience.

陝 西黃土 雄風農 民鑼鼓 藝術團

在舉 國上下 緊鑼密 鼓迎接 "七 一" 到 來之際 、 陝西的 農民鑼 鼓藝術 團一行 250 多 人將 滿載着 三千四 百萬陝 西人民 的重托 體現着 大陸九 億農民 的精神 風貌和 歡樂喜 慶 的心情 赴港參 加香港 回歸慶 典演出 。

陝西 農民鑼 鼓是黃 河流域 數千年 文明傳 統的組 成部份 • 陝北 安塞腰 鼓和韓 城黃河 行 鼓分別 發源於 人文初 袓黃帝 的故鄉 和史經 司馬遷 的故里 。 具有悠 久的歷 史和深 遠 的影響 ° 這種 表演形 式以陣 容宏大 、 風 格粗獷 、 氣勢豪 邁見稱 。 講究 排列組 合 ' 錯 落有致 、 騰 空翻轉 、 動 靜結合 。 鑼鼓 之聲響 徹雲霄 、 剛陽 氣慨懾 人魂魄 ' 展示 了一種 巨大的 力量和 百折不 撓的民 族精神 。 正好 表示了 所有中 國人的 凝聚力 和團 結一心 振興中 華的豪 情壯志 。

Shaanxi Loess Farmers' Drum and Gong Troupe

A 250 strong Drum and Gong Troupe from Shaanxi province brings excitement to Hong Kong's celebration of its reunification with China. Shaanxi has a population of 34 million but it has the same characteristics of 0.9 billion farmers in the whole country.

The drums and gongs used by farmers in Shaanxi during festivals date back to the earliest days of Chinese civilizations in the Yellow River region. This performing art is masculine in its strength but is also exquisite m its movements. Performers dance and jump to the mesmerizing beat of the music which characterizes the Chinese people's dedication to unity and strength.

音樂 方面由 資深的 香港樂 壇精英 人物鍾 定一及 盧冠廷 以別具 國際時 代感之 新穎風 格處理 ， 舞蹈 方面由 香港城 市當代 舞蹈團 總監曹 誠淵精 心編排 ， 而 繽紛悦 目之民 族服裝 則由此 項目之 監製及 形象 顧問劉 天蘭及 深圳錦 繡中華 發展有 限公司 合作設 計製造 ， 全 部歌手 、 模特兒 及舞蹈 員共一 百二 十二人 。

China is a country of many different ethnic groups, each with its own distinctive costumes and songs. Hong Kong designs in the fashion world are of high international standards and well received in the world while Hong Kong talents in music production, also win international acclaim.

This programme blends the three features together. Top Hong Kong models will show new designs of 1 6 designers of the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, in coordination with pop stars dressed in traditional costumes of eight ethnic minorities, singing and dancing with national characteristics. The programme symbolizes the unity of China, a big family of all ethnic groups.

Music arrangement is done by Danny Chung and Lo Koon Ting. Dance choreography by Willy Tsao of the City Contemporary Dance Company. National costumes are designed by famous image designer Tina Liu, who is also the executive producer of this performance and the Shenzhen Splendid China Costume Design Production Co. Involving 122 singers, models and dancers, the result is an exciting programme with unrivaled style and magnificence..

Tina Liu

With over eighteen years of experience as an image professional in designing and training in film, television, music, publishing, fashion retailing and service industries, Ms. Tina Liu is renowned for her high quality and pragmatic approach in image direction in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South East Asia. In 1994, Ms. Liu founded Xia Qi Hall - Hong Kong's first and unique image consultancy firm to provide professional corporate image management, media and stage production and personal image development training and services.

曹誠淵

曹 誠淵生 於香港 ， 在美國 接受大 學教育 ° 於一 九七七 年回港 ， 并在香 港大學 修 讀工商 管理碩 士課程 。 七九年 創辦城 市現代 舞蹈團 。 曹氏在 八四年 起出任 加 拿大高 華藝術 舞團聯 合總監 。 八六 年創立 「曹 誠淵與 朋友」 計劃 。 開始改 編 本地文 學作品 ， 編 排一系 列實驗 性演出 。

一 九八七 年九月 。 曹氏成 為中國 廣東舞 蹈學校 現代舞 實驗團 的顧問 及導師 。 八八 年五月 ， 曹 氏應邀 赴北京 舞蹈學 院教授 現代舞 ， 并 獲香港 藝術家 學院頒 贈 「一九 八八 年香港 舞蹈家 年獎」 。 九〇年 ' 曹氏 獲選為 「香 港十大 傑出青 年」 。 九一 年應邀 出席中 國北京 舞蹈學 院青年 舞團藝 術顧問 。 九二年 出任廣 東實 驗現代 舞團藝 術總監 ， 同年 獲英國 佐治奧 、 比華 利山機 構頒獲 「九 十年 代傑 出男士 獎項」 。九三 年獲英 女皇頒 發榮譽 獎章。

Willy Tsao

Born and raised in Hong Kong. Willy Tsao received his college education in the United States. After he returned home and obtained his Master's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Hong Kong. Tsao established CCDC in 1979 and choreographed many reputable works. He has been the Associate Director for the Goh Ballet of Vancouver Canada since 1984. In 1986 Tsao embarked on the project "Willy Tsao and Friends" drawing upon local literature as a source of inspiration to create experimental performances. In September 1987, he became the advisor and teacher for the Guangdong Modern Dance Experimental Troupe in Guangzhou, China and in May the following year, he was invited to teach modern dance at the Beijing Dance Academy. In the same year, he received the "Choreographer of the Year Award" 什 om the Hong Kong Artists' Guild. Tsao was elected as one of the "Ten Outstanding Young Persons" in 1990, and in the following year he was

in China. In 1992, he became the first Artistic Director of the Guangdong Modern Dance Company and received the "Men of the Nineties Award" from Georgio Beverly Hills Ltd., U.S.A. In 1993, he was awarded the Badge of Honour from the Queen of the Great Britain.

盧冠廷

鍾定一

鍾定一 是香港 樂壇的 中流砥 柱人物 ' 他的音 樂事業 始於六 十年代 D'Topnotes 樂 隊。 鍾定一 在七 十年代 組織了 NewTopnotes 樂隊 ' 為 EMI 灌錄 了五張 英文大 碟 ， 更在遠 東各地 不停巡 迴演出 • 大 受歡迎 。

1978 年 意大利 巡迴後 ， 鍾定一 專注幕 後製作 ' 監 製唱片 、 廣 吿歌曲 、 電影配 樂及歌 手經理 等工作 。

鍾 定一的 豐富音 樂經驗 及專長 ， 贏 得許多 港台著 名歌手 的信心 ， 紛 紛邀請 鍾定一 監製 及編曲 . 其 中包括 葉德嫻 、 陳潔靈 、 葉倩文 、 林子祥 、 彭羚 、 周潤發 、 郭富 城 、 鍾鎮濤 、 潘 美辰等 。

監製 超過五 十部電 影配樂 ， 名單恕 難盡錄 。 鍾定一 最近的 成就包 括監製 了獲得 1997 年 康城電 影節最 佳導演 獎之香 港電影 「春光 乍洩」 之配樂 "Happy Together" °

盧冠 廷於一 九八三 年推出 「天 鳥」 大碟 ， 開始 了他的 作曲及 歌唱事 業 。 盧冠廷 所寫的 歌屢獲 「十大 金曲」 及 「全 年最佳 歌曲」 獎項提 名 ' 獲獎歌 曲包括 「最愛 是誰」 、 「天 籟」 及 「但 願人 長久」 。 盧冠廷 亦從事 電影音 樂創作 ， 以 「七 小福」 的 音樂羸 得台灣 「金馬 獎」 的 「最 佳電 影原著 音樂」 大獎 。

Lo Koon Ting

Lo Koon Ting began his musical career in Hong Kong as a singer I songwriter in 1983 when his debut album entitled "Sky Bird" was launched. Many of Mr Lo's melodies have been nominated for the "Best Song of the Year" and "Best Movie Theme Song" awards over the years. His songs which won the "Best Ten Songs of the Year" awards include "My Dearest", "Tian Lai Xing He Chuan Shuo" and "Missing You".

Mr Lo has also written scores for movies and has won numerous awards including the Taiwanese "Golden Horse" for the music score for the movie "Painted Faces".

Danny Chung

Danny Chung Ting Yat, a prominent name in the Hong Kong music scene since 1960's. Started with the pop group D'Topnotes, Danny Chung formed New Topnotes in the 70's and produced five English albums under EMI. New Topnotes was popularly on tour performing in numerous regions in the Far East. After touring in Italy in 1978, Danny Chung went behind the scene full time and produced albums, advertising jingles & movie scores besides managing artistes.

Danny Chung's expertise in musical arrangement and album production has gained much confidence from various high quality singers in Hong Kong & Taiwan. Those who have worked with him include Deanie Ip, Elisa Chan, Sally Yeh, George Lam, Cass Phang, Chow Yun Fat, Arron Kwok, Kenny Bee, Christine Ng, Poon Mei Sun and many more. With over 50 movie scores under his belt, Danny Chung's most recent achievement is producing the movie score for "Happy Together", the Hong Kong film that captured the Best Director Award in Cannes Film Festival 1997.

Jue Yao

Born in Shanghai, China, violin virtuoso Jue Yao first came to prominence at the age of sixteen when she won first prize in the Chinese National Violin Competition. After hearing Miss Yao perform in Shanghai in 1982, the director of the San Francisco Conservatory awarded her a full scholarship to study with the conservatory's master teacher, Zaven Melikian. She continued her violin studies at New York's Juilliard School of Music with Dorothy DeLay. In writing about Miss Yao's playing, music critics universally employ phrases such as extraordinary passionate interpretation" "technically impressive and intensely moving" "impeccable technique" "captivating" "poetic" "stylish and "lustrous."

Miss Yao's brilliant professional career has been punctuated by widely acclaimed performances throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States- Adding to her many honors, Miss Yao has been named as one of China's most famous women. She is the only female violinist included in a book entitled "China's Famous Females" which was published as part to the 1995 International Women's Congress in Beijing. Her photo graces the cover and in speaking of Miss Yao the book states, "Jue Yao's playing shows that the Chinese have reached a world class level in music making."

九 州同頌

古書 記載大 禹治水 成功後 ' 分天下 為九州 。 此後 九州一 詞就泛 指整個 一統的 神 州大地 . 南 宋詩人 陸游有 「但悲 不見九 州同」 的慨歎 。 反觀廿 世紀末 • 香 港於此 九七回 歸之日 ， 標 誌着中 華一統 的開始 。 本曲的 作者預 示進入 廿一世

紀 ， 全 中國統 一之期 不遠矣 ！

本 曲以雄 偉的管 弦樂引 子開始 ， 合 唱莊嚴 的唱出 「天 下為公 ， 世界 大同」 的 壯 觀塲面 。 快 速的段 落表達 出龍的 傳人之 「有 容乃大 、 泱泱 之風」 。 男高音 接着 領唱出 「八荒 一統九 州同」 的願望 。 末段以 宏偉的 獻禮結 束全曲 。 是曲 由 「香 港各 界慶祝 回歸委 員會」 邀 約創作 ， 香 港作曲 家及作 詞家協 會贊助 。

Nine Regions Sing As One

Chinese legends describe that Master Yu calmed the flood in Central China and later became Emperor. He then divided the kingdom into nine regions. Henceforth,the term "nine regions" is frequently used to symbolize a unified China. Following the reunification of Hong Kong with China in 1997, a totally unified China should come up in the 21st century. The composer and lyricist so wrote to express their wish.

The music starts with a majestic orchestral introduction. The choir then comes in to proclaim a view of universal unity. A fast section follows to praise the Chinese nation of her generosity and forgiveness, showing the broadmindedness of a big country.

The tenor solo then comes in to express the will of a unified China with "Nine Regions Sing as One". The closing section echos the theme in a solemn and ritualistic style.

The piece is commissioned by the Association for Celebration of Reunification of Hong Kong with China and sponsored by the Composers & Authors Society of Hong Kong Limited.

陳永 華於香 港中文 大學音 樂系隨 紀大衛 習作曲 ' 後 獲英聯 邦獎學 金於多 倫多大 學深造 ' 獲音 樂碩士 及博士 榮銜。

陳氏音 樂風格 現代化 及充滿 都市感 ' 同 時表現 對生命 的熱誠 ， 其 作品包 括六首 交響曲 、 多 首管弦 樂及宣 樂創作 ， 同時亦 有數首 中樂大 合奏曲 。 其 作品曾 由世界 各大樂 團演奏 。

陳氏作 品曾屢 獲獎項 ， 其中 管弦樂 《飛 渡》 除獲 亞洲作 曲家同 盟頒授 「1988 入野 義朗紀 念獎」 外 ， 更於 1993 年 獲北京 「中 華民族 文化促 進會」 選為 「二十 世紀華 人音樂 經典」 之一 ， 四重奏 《秋》 獲 「1981 美 國國際 雙簧協 會作曲 大賽」 首獎。 德國政 府學術 交流部 曾於 1986 年邀請 陳氏參 與塔木 士達國 際現代 音樂節 ' 並於德 國演出 其作品 0 陳氏於 1991 年獲 香港藝 術家聯 盟頒授 「作 曲家 年獎」 、 1992 年獲頒 「十大 傑出青 年獎」 0 陳永 華曾客 席指揮 香港管 弦樂團 、 香 港小交 響樂團 、 中國 中央交 響樂團 、 上海電 視廣播 交 響樂團 等演出 其作品 。 陳 氏現為 香港中 文大學 音樂系 敎授及 系主任 。

Chan Wing Wah

Graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he studied composition with David Gwilt. He was later awarded a British Commonwealth Scholarship to study with John Beckwith at the University of Toronto from where he received his Master and Doctor of Music degrees in composition.

Modern and urbanized showing an enthusiasm towards life, Dr. Chan's compositions include six symphonies and other orchestral and chamber pieces.

He had also written several extended works for Chinese orchestra. Dr. Chan's music had won him a 1st Prize in the 1981 International Double Reed Society Composition Contest in USA and the 1988 Yoshiro Irino Memorial Prize awarded by the Asian Composers' League. In 1986 he was invited by the German Academic Exchange Service to the Darmstadt Summer Festival for Contemporary Music where his music was performed.

Dr. Chan is currently Professor and Chairman in the Music Department at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was further presented the 1991 Composer of the Year Award by the Hong Kong Artists' Guild and the 1992 Ten Outstanding Young Persons' Award by the Hong Kong Junior Chamber of Commerce. His orchestral work TRANSIT was selectd as one of the "20th Century Masterpieces by Chinese Composers" by the China Culture Promotion Society in Beijing in 1993.

香港 皇仁書 院畢業 ， 香 港大學 文學士 ' 主修英 文及比 較文學 - 香 港中文 大學工 商管理 學碩士 ' ' 論文 課題為 以市場 學方法 「推 銷」 大學 。 曾在香 港政府 、 香 港理工 學院及 香港中 文大學 擔任行 政工作 。 現任 香港大 學外務 處處長 。 業 餘為自 由作家 、 翻譯 、 編劇及 填詞人 、 曾 中譯十 九齣法 、 意 、 英歌劇 。 又為本 港各職 業及業 餘話劇 團翻譯 及改編 二十五 齣話劇 ， 獲香 港藝術

家 聯盟九 0 年劇作 家年獎 。 並不 時作客 座講者 ' 主講翻 譯及戲

劇 各專題 ， 及為 各項戲 劇比賽 任評判 ， 已 出版作 品包括 劇本小 説 《女 大不 中留》 及 《嬉春 酒店》 、劇本 《美人 如玉劍 如虹》 。 散文集 《上班 族語》 及 《港人 自講》 ' 而 他所寫 的周采 芹自傳 《上 海的 女兒》 中 譯本曾 獲選為 《十本 好書》 之一 。 其 他作品 收入多 部文集 。 如 商台的 《常 在我 心間》 及 突破各 文集中 ' 他 又為 話劇插 曲及敎 會填詞 。

Rupert Chan

After completing his secondary education at Queen's College, Hong Kong, Rupert Chan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Comparative Literature from the University of Hong Kong with his thesis on "The Marketing of a University." He was previously in the civil service, then an administrator at the Hong Kong Polytechinic and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and currently is the Head of the External Relations Office at the University of Hong Kong. Administration work aside, Chan is also a freelance writer, translator, playwright and lyricist. He has translated into Chinese over twenty productions of French, Italian and English operas, and twenty-five plays which have been staged by professional and amateur drama groups in Hong Kong. He was awarded "Playwright of the Year" by the Hong Kong Artists' Guild in 1990.

在一九 八七至 八八年 曾領導 北京中 央交響 樂團遠 赴美國 二十四 個城市 ' 作歷 史性的 巡 迴演出 ， 當時 亦是中 國樂團 首次赴 美演出 ' 音 樂會為 陳氏贏 得廣泛 讚譽。 這次巡 迴 演出的 成功令 陳氏成 為中國 最重要 的指揮 家之一 ° 亦 是自小 澤征爾 以來亞 洲最優 秀 的指揮 家之一 。

Chen Zuo Huang

In 1987-88 Chen Zuo Huang led the Central Philharmonic Orchestra of Beijing on an historic six-week, 24-city tour of the United States, marking the first time that a Chinese orchestra toured the US. The Philharmonic's concerts earned extensive praise for Chen. On the wave of the tour's success, Chen has since been hailed as China's leading conductor and one of the most promising conductors to emerge from Asia since Seiji Ozawa.

Born in Shanghai, Chen entered the High School Division of the Central Conservatory in Beijing at age twelve. Upon graduation, he studied conducting privately and obtained his first important conducting appointment at the China Film Philharmonic. In 1997 he re-entered the Central Conservatory to study both conducting and composition and was later selected by the Ministry of Culture to become the first Chinese conductor to pursue advanced studies in the United States.

Chen was for several years Conductor of the Central Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing, and supervised the recent disbandment of the Orchestra and the creation of the China National Symphony Orchestra. As Artistic Director of the new ensemble, he conducted the well received concert premiere in Beijing in September 1996.

Warren Mok Tenor

Acclaimed tenor Warren Mok received his Master of Music degree from the Manhattan Scool of Music in New York, and bachelor from the University of Hawaii. Since his European debut in 1987 at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, he has been making frequent guest appearances throughout the world, such as Leipzig Opera, Hawaii Opera Theater in the U.S., Vienna Festival, Athens Music Festival, Hong Kong Urban Council Opera, Taiwan National Theater, Singapore Arts Festival. He has a unique & beautiful lyrical-spinto tenor voice with a wide range of operatic repertoire including the Duke in Rigoletto, Alfredo in La Traviata, Radames in Aida, Rodolfo in La Boheme and many other roles from classical to modern.

Mr. Mok appears frequently in concerts in Europe, America and Asia, working with world leading orchestras. In 97/98 season, he will produce Carmen and sing the role of Don Jose in Shanghai Spring Festival 1997 and repeat the role in Macau Music Festival, Calaf in Turandot with the National Opera Latvia, Radames in Aida in Hong Kong, Prince in the Land of Smiles at the Metropol Theater Berlin, concert appearnces in Hong Kong with St. Martin in the Fields Orchestra, Taiwan, China and Japan.

Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra

Under the leadership of Music Director David Atherton, the over 90 gifted musicians of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra regularly perform concerts from an extensive and sophisticated repertoire with internationally-acclaimed artists.

In addition to its first and highly successful tour to the USA and Canada in September 1995, it has toured widely in Southeast Asia and has been described by the Far Eastern Economic Review as the "musical pride of Southeast Asia".

Through its publications, courses, free school concerts and ensemble visits, the Music in Hospitals project. Friends of the Philharmonic and the Young Audiences Scheme, the Orchestra strives to fulfil its mission to provide the general public with more opportunities to appreciate classical music.

The Hong Kong Association of Choral Societies is a non-profit making organization founded in June 1987. The mission is to unite all those keenly interested in choral-singing, to promote the art form and to raise the standard of choral singing in Hong Kong. Since its establishment, the Association has organized many activities, including choral concerts, seminars on the art of choral singing and singing competitions. Some of these were in collaboration with other organizations. In 1989, it held a seminar on choral music which explored the many aspects of the genre from Renaissance to the Contemporary Period, gave an overview of the repertoire of various choruses, methods of management, and vocal techniques in a choral context. In April that year, the Association joined forces with the Urban Council, Hong Kong Composer's Guild, Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Associaton, and Composer and Authors Society of Hong Kong to present two concerts on Chinese choral music. A year later, it joined hands again with Radio 4 of RTHK and the School of Continuing Studies of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to present a serie of talks on choral singing . In 1994, it was the coordinator for a concert on Chinese choral singing, and organized the Asia Vocal Competition.

Herose of China

Combining the traditional marital art into the Hong Kong action movies, the Hong Kong action movies are widely recognized. The top Hong Kong Marital Art Supervisors and action directors have blended the traditional and modern marital art into a manifested show, which is performed by top action performers. "Hong Kong Stuntman Association" is responsible for this show. Particular Starring participate in the lion dance include : Jacky Chan, Sammo Hung, Li Lian Jie, Stephen Chow.

Furthermore, the organization has ordered 40 big lions and 10 baby lions from Fo Shan in order to enhance the performance. The remaining program is performed by other famous Action Artists which can make the show very entertaining.

The Production team headed by Mr. Clarence Hui, a renowned producer of music, stage concerts, and films consists of talented members of Creative Artists Management & Productions Ltd., the only production /artist management company of its kind in Hong Kong. Members of the team include Mr. Sammy Lam & Mr. Chiu Tsang Hei who have been responsible for numerous concerts in Hong Kong as Stage Director / Choreographer and Musical Director.

From a small fishing village to what we today know as Hong Kong, the little island has witnessed significant changes over the years. This pop-music performance entitled A Thousand Years Without Changes celebrates the enduring quality and the strong spirit of the Hong Kong people featuring significant Cantonese pop songs, Beethoven's "Ode to Joy", and a brand new theme song "Unlimited Feelings Lie Within Today" specially written for this occasion by Mr. Clarence Hui and Mr. Thomas Chow. 余隆 目前是 少數幾 位在國 際樂壇 上引人 注目的 亞洲青 年指揮 家之一 ° 1964 年他 出生於 一個著 名的音 樂世家 ' 早在童 年時期 的他因 受到良 好的音 樂敎育 ， 1984

年 就學於 上海音 樂學院 ， 師從 著名指 揮敎育 家黃嘵 桐敎授 ' 隨後 更深造 於德國 西柏林 高等藝 術大學 ， 並 獲得該 校近十 年內指 揮專業 唯一的 最高分 畢業。 他活躍 在歐洲 、 亞洲 、 澳洲各 地的音 樂會上 ； 90 年 出任圖 林根州 愛樂樂 團第一 常 任指揮 ； 92 年元旦 在北京 成功地 創辦了 首屆北 京新年 音樂會 ' 並在同 年受聘 擔 任中國 中央歌 劇院常 任指揮 ， 目前 和他經 常合作 的歌劇 院及樂 團諸如 ： 德國

漢堡 歌劇院 、 漢堡交 響樂團 、 匈牙 利布達 佩斯廣 播樂團 、 北京中 央樂團 、 香港 歌 劇中心 、 新 加坡交 響樂團 、 台北國 家樂團 、 澳洲昆 士蘭州 交響樂 團等等 ° 1993 年他成 為有史 以來第 一位中 國指揮 家出任 著名的 漢堡歌 劇院客 席指揮 °

Long Yu Conductor

As one of the most distinguished conductors from China, Long Yu has repeatedly appeared with the world's foremost orchestras and opera houses. His successful appearances with the Hamburg State Opera as well as with Oper de Nice have gained him international reputation.

Yu also established a highly successful career as an orchestral conductor. In addition to his active role in leading symphony orchestras throughout China, he has appeared regularly in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Poland, Singapore, Slovak, Switerland and Taiwan.

Formerly Principal Conductor of the Central Opera House and Guest Conductor of Central Philharmonic Orchestra of China, Yu was born into a musical family in Shanghai. He graduated with distinction from Berlin Musik Hochschule and also studied conducting, compositon and percussion at the Shanghai Conservatory. Since 1994, Yu conducted for the opera production "LATRAVIATA", "TURANDOT", "Lucia di Lammermoor" presented by the HK Urban Council and also directed concerts in Gewandhaus with the Deutschland Radio in Leipzig, the Liszt Academy with the Budapest Radio Symphony, the West Deutschland Radio in Cologne.

功 。 主 要作品 包括一 套歌劇 、 一 首合唱 交響樂 、 三首交 響音樂 、 三 首 協奏曲 與若干 室內樂 和四十 餘首電 影電視 劇配樂 。

Gou Wen Jing Composer

Guo Wen-jing, member of the All China Association of Musicians, professor at the Central Academy of Music, is one of the most active and influential young composers in China since the 80's. His works which include an opera, a choral symphony, three symphonic poems, three concertos, several chamber works and over 40 film and TV theme music, have been widely performed in Europe and the United States.

環球華 人回歸 交響樂 團是由 何志平 醫生及 湯衛平 先生策 劃並在 范徐麗 泰女士 、 鄢維 庸醫生 和盧景 文校長 的大力 支持及 推動下 為慶祝 香港回 歸中國 而組成 。

環 球華人 回歸交 響樂團 的組成 ， 展示出 香港在 各方面 的成就 ， 更象徵 了中 華民族 的團結 。 樂團的 全體團 員們更 會將這 份自豪 和歡樂 傳播至 世界 的每一 個地方 。

1997 Philharmonic Orchestra

Musicians from China established their world leading status of performing arts in recent years. To celebrate the Reunification of Hong Kong with China, these musicians with Chinese origin from all over the world united together and form the 1997 Philharmonic Orchestra. Members of this Orchestra are from thirty-five world leading professional organizations.

Initiated by Dr. Patrick Ho, Mr. Kenneth Thong and strongly supported by Mrs. Rita Fan, Dr. Raymond Wu and Mr. Lo King Man, the 1997 Philharmonic Orchestra was formed for the celebration of reunificaton of Hong Kong with China.

Born with new Hong Kong, the formation of 1997 Philharmonic Orchestra is a demonstration of our nation united as one and also exhibits continuous success of Hong Kong. Members will take their pride and the joy of this historical moment with them to every corner of the world.
