If you know anybody who has shows that fit this category that aren't on DIME, please dub off their stuff and share it. I'm trying to write a book on SPIRIT and need all the information I can get. I have a database of over 1500 gigs 1967-1996, and want to find as much information as I can to add to it. If you have any memories of where you saw SPIRIT, the more specific the better (venue, city, date, supporting bands, etc.), I'd love to know that as well. Please leave that in the comments section or PM me. Thank you! 2 - Show description & comments follow: The "Lone Star Cafe" and "The Bottom Line" were my two fave venues in New York City, and about the only two where I could see a show early enough to be able to make the last train home to New Jersey. The "Lone Star" was in an old row home. Very narrow and deep. The stage was more in the front of the place, across from the bar against the wall, and in a lot of the club, the sightlines were poor. I always booked a seat early in the balcony, looking straight down on the stage. The "Lone Star" had a real relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were nice folks, at least to me. This was unfortunately the last time I ever saw John Cipollina. He was a real nice guy, and could talk your arm off! For some unknown reason, the show started more than an hour late, and the first show was a bit short. I had taken a nice photo of the band from the previous ZERO show I saw at the "Lone Star" (Torrent # 276373), and went up to their dressing room on the third floor to get it autographed. Everybody was real nice, gladly autographed it, and then I headed out to Penn Station to catch the 1:30 AM train (the last one until 5:30 AM) back to New Jersey. Enjoy! bpthree ---------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE KEEP THIS LOSSLESS!!! Support the band: Buy the officially released items, etc. Prepared by Jeff James (roryglzep@aol.com) ****************************************************************** ffp: Track01.flac:ce1145a27c058d414b10e11555943497 Track02.flac:0ba822e3b8b738f0fef8ba6a6595ebbe Track03.flac:b41ccee8866ec9f0e4bfb30f90c519c8 Track04.flac:6609803a22b7a8c4d145c6178fce95e3 Track05.flac:b598de72fe5abc4c07f1787ceb75e568 Track06.flac:40d7be4ef0e5d664ba4aafdb6324c5db Track07.flac:cc00e2a76320f42c4d729b78bb99a748 md5: 1d376129c32ee0ab68c7ab7471fc98da *Track01.flac 36005cb59d82234c013991040b106124 *Track02.flac be761aa4e6bc17c865b72dedd18c462e *Track03.flac 91598b803fe7fcdf9e18fe15c3fda8b9 *Track04.flac 66dc8a544b931fbb9f654441f1828116 *Track05.flac e2f66dd8477436bb437748a9104696f9 *Track06.flac 960df518ae8de543effea866187fd63a *Track07.flac
