After reading Bryan E's post - I though I remembered a night JGB played with Zappa in the early eighties in Chicago. After a little searching on the Jerry sight seems I didn't dream it.

JGB opened for Frank Zappa.

Is there anyone out there who saw this show and can give some details? Would love to hear about it. Seems there is an AUD in circulation somewhere.

I was there. While I can't remember that much about it, I do remember right when Zappa came on, after the JGB, he had to sit everyone down. Everyone was still standing and bopping around after 5 minutes of Zappa's intro riffs, he told the crowd, sit down, relax, it's going to be a long night. A great mix of stellar musicians, even if polar opposites musically. I Still have the ticket, just no recollection.
