Fare you well in going to see them. Such as it is and having seen them once, I doubt that you will find a better Dead cover band.

Personally, though, as I was telling JodyC a day or two ago, Dead tribute bands do little for me. It's like, say, Cap'n Crunch is your favorite cereal. You grew up eating it, and even though you like a lot of other cereals, it's really the only one that truly gives you cereal satisfaction. But suddenly Cap'n Crunch is discontinued. It's just not available, but there are some inexpensively priced generic versions of it. Thinking it will give you at least some of the joy that Quaker Oats' Cap'n Crunch gave you, you buy a bag of Top Quality brand Crunch Nuggets. But as you take your first bite, the sad truth becomes all too clear. The sugar content isn't the way it should be. There is something obviously amiss with the combination of corn flour, oat flour, maltodexrin, partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil and/or coconut oil, salt, and natural and artificial flavors. The crunch itself is without the perfect balance of texture, crispness and that perfectly slight milk-induced sogginess that increases as you get deeper into the bowl. When you're done, you realize that, while the good people at Top Quality have put in a yeoman's effort to produce a close reproduction of your all-time favorite cereal, they will just never be able to pull off the same thing as what they did at Quaker Oats. And then you make a choice. You can either have a bowl of Top Quality Crunch Nuggets and get as much enjoyment out of it as is possible. Or you can do what I did: eat more Lucky Charms.
