hey i was inspired by david and his taper section at dead.net and decided to do one for garcia's solo work.so here's volume 1 hope everyone enjoys it.i converted the shn/flac files to mp3 to make it easier for everyone and placed the 5 files in a zip folder.just unzip and play, each song has song title and peformance date in case one decides to seek out the shn/flac source.quality will vary as each song in the zip files are from different years and sources, some sbd,aud and fm.enjoy and if everyone likes it i'll do another one next week.garcia ya later [...] just notice the server is tied up,didn't think that many people would download,so here's another link for the same songs if the first link is busy [...] a third link for the same songs if the first two are busy,i'll try to find another file hosting company that doesn't get tied up so quickly.can't really complain though it's free [...] seems like the links are filling up quick so here is a fourth link if the other three are busy,i'm searching for a another file hosting server that can handle multiple downloads until then just try back later if all 4 links are busy [...] o.k. found another file hosting server that says it can handle multiple downloads, hopefully it will since the first three links filled up quick [...]

Is there a particular order you like to listen to these in or are they mutually exclusive?

I'm going where the water tastes like wine...

Someone brought up mix tapes last week. I like them so I can catch a great tune and then go explore the rest of the concert. Just another wacky way I pick a show.

Yes, and you made every day for the rest of this year seem like X Mas -- I figured it all out and holy shit -- you are friggin "The Poor Man's Santa!"

Good to hear you got it figured out. I have it dialed in for PC's, but my last Mac was in the late 90's. Their new notebooks are sweet.

I have a bunch of other goodies that I found on an old laptop. I'll try to get those burned too.

When in July are you going to be in Portland?

That's cool. Yes, I really enjoy this Mac Book Pro, my brother Jeff just got the same one. By the way, he is working in Seattle for a few months, but still wants to meet you. July is going to be so tight, for the first 8 days, I am booked (in an awesome way) with this special event i am organizing: www.myspace.com/cscday -- YOUR ALL INVITED! --

Then I am off to the NE to see Ratdog and Roger Waters, then I am going on tour with WSP -- I can't wait. Two years without a concert -- Clapton excluded. Then I have to make it home to Atlanta on July 28th for a week, then, drive back up to PA/NY, fly back to Bangkok on the 7th of Aug. But not before seeing the Police at MSG.

So, how about X Mas???

If you like, you can send me anything you want, I will be in PA for a long time this summer, I have an addy there. Those Sick Bits, especially the Matrix, wow. Then the 4 CD set featuring all of 3/28/72 from the Academy of Music in New York City, plus highlights from 3/25/72 including 5 songs with Bo Diddley on guitar -- right after when Jerry is singing How Sweet It Is and Are You Lonely For Me Baby -- HE SOUNDS SO AMAZING.

I can't thank you enough and my boss says the same.

Please e-mail me your phone number.

The Harder They Come takes (although I hav'nt heard Midnight yet, but it will have to be great) the prize - someone actually had a link to a great Lonesome (I think it was The Capital-Passaic) on here a while back - maybe someone can repost it - if your a Lonesome lover you'll dig it - now watch it's the same (I highly doubt it) one!

I think I love u - thx. I don't know how to do anything but play the tunes on here, hence I can't crank out any JGB. Someday I hope to learn how to seed (if that's what u nuts call it?) and can start to save some of this stuff. The way things have been going for me lately I'm sure the computer is gonna tell me no cando on the unzip thing - but here it goes anyway.....
