I use DVD Decrypter to pull a single VOB file off of a DVD. Then I use Womble's MPEG-VCR to convert the VOB to a simple MPEG-2 program stream. I also use MPEG-VCR to trim the clip and convert the audio to 192kps MPEG layer 2.
