Come on, Cliff. You've contributed a lot of valuable commentary over time, and we appreciate and respect that input. Why so negative? There's nothing in these threads that calls for such disregard.

Get a clue? I spoke respectfully in the hope that you might consider your time and insight might be put to more constructive use than the foolish Partridge Family nonsense, and you reply with the cliche' and insulting remark, "Get a clue." Perhaps you're right. I need to get a clue about how futile it is to try to reach people such as yourself who are hell-bent on pounding out cynicism and animosity.

Re: Partridge Family songs the Dead should have covered |
Cliff, I can't see kochman being smi2les. Note that in his opening post to this topic he correctly spells "vein" when even many reasonably literate people would have gone with "vain", and he uses "hiatus". Okay, maybe neither of these is a literary tour de force, but if he's smi2les then (1) he's suddenly discovered the King's English, and (2) he's doing a masterful job of reining in his incomprehensible non sequiters and scatological humor. Or do you know something I don't know?

Re: Partridge Family songs the Dead should have covered |
What? How can you ignore "I Think I Love You". Bobby would have a field day with that sucker.
But the even bigger question: What Monkey's song? I'll go with "Last Train To Clarksville". Or what about "I'm A Believer"? Heck, if Neil Diamond wrote it, it can't be that bad. Too many choices.
NOTE: This post is in no way intended to be disrepectful to anyone. No one loves a good poll as much as I do, just remember to keep your sense of humor about you at all times.

I think I'm Not Your Stepping Stone would have been an excellent cover, plent of chances for some Phil Bombs or an extended Jam break!
Imagine if the Grateful Dead had their own goofy TV show...
