... only that when DMB was taken off the archive, speeds didnt go back up.
There are so many other sites to get Dead shows, it's a shame that now it's a drag to listen to other lesser well known artists. I thought that was the whole idea behind this site.
the whole idea behind this site was to archive live performances of bands that allow it, not to foster soley to lesser known bands.
I personally would rather the Dead weren't posted here. I guess all good things don't last forever. Speeds are a third of what they used to be( 50 kbps instead of 150).
You know, maybe its just me, but waiting a few extra hours for a FREE show just doesnt seem like the type of thing I can imagine any normal person complaining about. Maybe we should all go back to trading cassette tapes, or better yet waiting a few months for a good old fashioned vinyl bootleg to show up overpriced at your local mom and pop record shop.

However, it's definitely true that bandwidth usage has spiked recently, and the Archive is using its maximum bandwidth allocation for most of the day. I'm unclear why I'm not seeing any decrease in download swiftness. What do other people see from their home connections?

We are interested in other evidence of performance. We are not at our max cap from 2AM to 8AM california time, so if you compare in that zone to not-in-that-zone, then we will know if our cap has anything to do with it.
does anyone know of any free service that tests this download speeds from multiple places over time?
