I am assuming that you want to download the flac files with an ftp client. Go to the page of the show that you want. On the left of the page, in the "Listen To Audio" box, next to where it says "All Files", click on the FTP. At the top of the page that the link takes you to, you will find a number such as ia360639.us.archive.org (this is not always the same number). Copy and paste this into the address area of you ftp client. Then be sure to click the Anonymous box in the login area. You can now hit connect. You will have to search through the 4 folders that will show up for the particular show that you are looking for. Then open that folder. If you are going after the flacs, create a folder where you want to download to, and name it the same name as the show (cer2007-11-17sbd.flac16 for example. You will have to highlight each flac (hold down the control key, and highlight all of them at once) and the textfiles and ffp files, and md5s. Then you can download all of them at one time. If you are going after the mp3s, they are usually at the bottom of the page in zip files (maybe someday we will get the flacs in a convenient zipfile, too) Hope this makes sense and helps you out.

Note that there is no longer an "FTP" listing on the pages for the shows you want to download. Instead, you need to click the HTTP link, then when you get to the next page, find the address at the top of that page, and enter that address into your FTP download software.

So if you wanted to download the Railroad Earth show at Finney Chapel in Oberlin Ohio (http://www.archive.org/details/rre2008-05-03.ccm4v.flac16), you would click the HTTP link in the box on the lefthand side under "Play/Download." That would take you to:

http://ia360913.us.archive.org/1/items/rre2008-05-03.ccm4v.flac16/

You would then strip off the "http://" and just enter or copy the server address into your FTP software (I use FileZilla, which is freeware). In this case: "ia360913.us.archive.org"

From within your FTP software you login using the userid "anonymous." Leave the "password" field blank.

Assuming you connect, you would then need to follow the file folder trail "1/items/rre2008-05-03.ccm4v.flac16/" down to the files you want to download, or enter that string into the box called "remote site." That shows you all the available files to download via FTP.
