Anyone know anything about this "open stage" jam from X-mas eve of 1968?

I would not know about this show if it had not been included in a care package I recieved from Arbuthnot.

It's not the Grateful Dead, or Mickey and the Hartbeats, and maybe not even Jerry Garcia & Friends? But it is some pretty cool, stretched-out blues jamming. It won't cost you anything, so you might as well go you know where and do you know what. Or you can check it out at Smegs.

Some might find these extended blues excursions a bit tedious, but I think these are some pretty interesting jams, and certainly some top-notch musicianship!

Happy Christmas to you too, CLIFF! Its been an interesting year for us both here on the forum, and I just wanted to say "thanks" to you especially since you are one of the big reasons I have made the effort to stick around. Hell, it hasn't even been much of an effort of late, but you know how that goes.

Thanks to the same source, I too have heard the show you speak of...fall of 68 was an interesting time in terms of how the boys experimented "personnel-wise" and often led me to wonder if they (Jerry? others?) actually considered trying to land Bishop (perhaps if the "firing" of Bob & PP had "stuck"?) in some sense...
