I finally had the gumption to do my 1st seed to the LMA. I'm not going to put up redundant AUDs of my own for Dead shows that I taped. I have some other treasures. I had to get etree to make a new Band Name item for this band. If you might enjoy an acoustic sound that's "a little bit David Grisman, a little bit Django Rheinhart, and a lot of fun," check out Arabesque from 1980

also, i understand your take on not being redundant with your audience taped sources for GD, however, i would love for you to reconsider re: 6/10/73 ... just a thought

thanks Arb. I've always enjoyed your presence on this forum. I just needed some place to connect with folks like us. so I tried interacting with you all. some folks here are on a hair-trigger. I kinda feel like I'm walking on egg shells. but I like you folks, and I like it here. I learned alot here. I'm just a guy... nobody special.

I lost maybe 10 feet of cassette tape from my AUD master of the Jam portion of RFK Stadium DC 06-10-73 when I was fixing it. I had to repair this cassette by transferring the reels into a surrogate housing. Then I had to get it packing and feeding tape properly, and then splice the tape back together. then capture on my pc for the 1st time. But, I do have my AUDs of 6/9 and 6/10. I also have AUDs for 07-31-73 and 08-01-73 -- the Jerry b'day shows at Roosevelt Stadium, recorded on Nakamichi 550 w/dolby on and chromium dioxide tape.

you guys motivated me. Charlie Miller is doing all this work here, it seems to me. so, early on I put my 2 cents in here, then I went to work. Fixed the AUD 6-10-73. Then I finally tried out Samplitude for my first time ever (Charlie). Like a little kid, I rushed to capture the missing Jerry break from GDTRFB off of my AUD from 6-10-73. I didn't know how to use Samplitude worth a darn. But, I figured out how to KLUDGE the missing 2 minutes of GDTRFB. Even Charlie Miller (rightfully) let me know I shoulda took the "seams" outta my edits by doing crossfades. He's right. Often, I'm like a little kid in a candy store here. I feel like I gotta get some of this muscic out there.

It was quite the undertaking and challenge for me to work with musicians today, along with etree, and seed a show for an old band to the LMA. Now I can chill out, maybe fix the GDTRFB with crossfades, or whatever. I have some other bands I want to seed to LMA. I just wanna go backpacking some more this summer, get back out on my bicycle, and try and get my medical marijuana user permit for Colorado.

Monte, this is some great stuff! Thanks for the upload. Is this the only recording of this band? I can't find any info on them.

BTW, I "pirated" your post to "that kind place". Thanks again brother.

Monte ... just finished listening, excellent capture; interesting version of 'Nine Pound Hammer', though i think i still prefer the Brothers Four version, which in my estimation has not yet been bested; sweet versions of A-Train, Dark Hollow, March of Siamese Children, Cherokee; all-in-all very nice, and many thanks for sharing such a gem, and for the 24 bit! edit: welcome back, thought we lost you ...
