I understand it’s a small world after all, so I wanted to see where you’ve all been and where ya at? I know where several of you live (and I’m coming for your hard drives) already from continued communication on here for the past three years. So here we go, Sunday's Geography Session – Where do you consider your hometown to be (yes, I am listening to the Boss)? Taylor, PA (suburb of Scranton -- yes, we had streets) Where are you now? Bangkok, Thailand What other wonderful cities have you lived in? San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; San Pedro, Belize; Bangalore, India; Itanagar, Arunachal Predesh, India Favorite? Hey Ed--just curious: what was wrong with Fallbrook? Is that in the central valley or down by SDiego? If the former, I understand, if the latter, surprising?

Near Oceanside. Bordering Camp Pendelton.
I had more "get a haircut" suggestions in Fallbrook than in Kansas, which struck me as odd. It was also hotter than hell in the summer, (which I thought I was used to, being from Kansas),and majorly boring.
I had a good time there, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't go back.
1972 ish.

Where do you consider your hometown to be?
Levittown, PA (Philly suburb and mom still there so thats home)

Where are you now?
Miami, FL

What other wonderful cities have you lived in?
Philadelphia, PA, Peru, IN, Morrisville, PA (across river from Trenton, NJ), Richmond, VA, Ann Arbor, MI, Chicago, IL.

Favorite?
Chicago

Least Favorite?
Morrisville

What was your favorite city to see a Dead show in (or any band)?
Richmond VA, The Mosque (saw a few shows there, non-dead, but there is a reason why 5-25-77 sounds so good). Favorite outdoor would be Merriwether Post.

What was your least favorite city?
none, never had a bad time at a show dead or non-dead, even if I did not particularly think it was a good show. The worst shows I saw were at the Tower Theater in Darby, PA but that was not because of sound issues. Just didn't like the music. Al Dimeola was very disappointing because he was too damn egomaniacal with rock star-like finishes to every single song he played. Although Allan Holdsworth opened that show and was awesome!!

Coincidentally I was listening to the same new JGB when I opened your post. Pretty nice eh?

"...played in the Carnaval Parade." Wow, that sounds like a spectacular winter. I will travel there one day.

Yes, Eugene is a special place, I'll be there this summer again.

What are you converting on that Jerry show? Can't you just play the FLAC files on your computer?

Where do you consider your hometown to be?
Wayne, PA (Philadelphia suburb) - I spent 20 of my almost 24 years in the Philly suburbs

Where are you now?
Pittsburgh, PA (only here for about a year so far)

What other wonderful cities have you lived in?
Houston, TX for three years

Favorite?
Houston, TX

Least Favorite?
I love Philadelphia, but I hated growing up in the suburbs and the elitist attitude that everybody had there.

What was your favorite city to see a Dead show in (or any band)?
I'm too young to have seen the Dead, but I enjoy smaller venues. In Pittsburgh there's this little place called Diesel that I really enjoy going to. I also like this one outdoor venue called Hartwood Acres, which is a park that holds free concerts every weekend during the summer. Great vibes there.

What was your least favorite city?
I saw String Cheese Incident at the Scranton Performing Arts Center. Security was a bitch, and there were serious sound issues throughout the show. Pretty much the only 'bad' experience I've had with a venue.

Where am I now?

Wasilla AK ( that's Alaska not Arkansas )

Born?

Oakland

Grew up?

Littleton, CO.
Alameda,CA. ( high school and early 20's )

Favorite?

Bay Area. Hands down. Love the City. Wish I could afford to live there

Least Favorite?

I guess I can say that I'm fortunate that all three places I've lived are tourist desitinations which kind of says something huh? I do like living somewhere with so much natural beauty that isn't over ridden with traffic and people. Also, even though Alaska is a Red State ( which I am not ) people here are by and large more of the Libertarian anti-authority independant nature which suits me.
